Description
The new Fuentespina Reserva vintage, a red wine from D.O. Ribera del Duero made by Fuentespina, a winery owned by the Avelino Vegas Bodegas group.The 2009 vintage was rated as "Excellent" in the Ribera del Duero.
This wine is a single variety Tempranillo grown on vines more than 70 years old. After the collection of the grapes, they select the ones with the highest level of quality in both structure and character because they are destined for a Reserva wine; quality is paramount.
As for the production process, there is a destemming and a squeezing of the grapes and, afterwards, the must undergoes a pellicular maceration in stainless steel deposits for 72 hours at 5º C in order to obtain the maximum potential from the aromas.
Following this maceration, there is a fermentation at a controlled temperature at 25º C for 7-10 days.
Fuentespina Reserva rests for 16 months in French and American oak barrels and new Caucus.
Wine with great storage potential and an evolution over the years.
