This is a wonderful Malbec that comes from Mendoza, Argentina. The wine is aged for 10 months, 50% in French and American oak and 50% in stainless steel tanks.
The colour of the wine is a beautiful deep red with hues of purple around the rim of the glass, which is characteristic of Malbecs from Mendoza.
The aroma is predominantly red fruits like plums and cherries. Subtle notes of violet, and hints of sweet spices. With slight oxygenation, aromas of vanilla & a touch of smokiness appear, reflecting its brief aging in oak.
It's smooth, with round tannins and balanced acidity. Has a velvetty texture, and is medium bodied - which makes it easy to drink.
On the palate, the flavours of red and black fruits dominate, enhanced by subtle notes of choclate and tobacco.
The medium to long finish is fresh, with pleasant lingering fruity and spicy notes.
This Malbec would pair beautifully with red meats, pasta, and semi-cured cheeses. Ideal for any occasion.
